3D printing is a form of 'additive manufacturing' that enables rapid realisation of physical prototypes in the smart home. We are currently using an Ender 3 Pro printer to prototype new smart devices, print sensor enclosures and many other smart home applications.
A 3D printer allows rapid prototyping and testing of new smart home concepts, services and products. It also allows for more more aesthetically pleasing installation of technology. In some cases it allows you to do things that would otherwise not be possible.
