Rob Collingridge graduated from Portsmouth University in 1989 with a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and then joined BT in 1989 to working on real-time speech-interactive systems. He then worked on BT's first Internet services and worked on many of BT's consumer services over the years. During his last 10 years in BT, Rob was an Innovation Consultant bringing new concepts to market for BT and its customers.
Rob started building his own smart home from scratch in 2005, to deliver the high-quality user experience he was after. Smartisant Ltd was formed to progress his innovative and visionary approach, with Rob designing and building both the hardware and software elements. This contextual smart home has evolved in to something extremely powerful.
Rob left BT in December 2018 and is now focussed on Smartisant's mission of bring intelligent assisted living to all.
