Assisted Living

assisted living

Most people associate the term 'assisted living' with the elderly and vulnerable but the next generation of intelligent smart homes and other smart spaces will provide assisted living for all occupants. Our goal is to make the smart home simpler, safer, more convenient and more efficient for everyone, resulting in improved quality of life. This is something everyone finds desirable, regardless of age, ability or agility. It is also an major issue to be addressed as the age demographic of the UK [1] and the rest of the world changes.

There are numerous benefits to the smart home but for the elderly and vulnerable, it can help them stay independent and allow them to live safely in their own home for longer.

Current smart home technology can be unsightly, complex, expensive to install and far from intuitive to use. One of our key goals is to enable a great user experience that works for everyone by providing a range of user interfaces to the smart home and allowing each person to pick the one that works best for them.
